Welcome to the online home of the Deadbacks film project.
     Deadbacks is an independent feature-length movie. Shot in the Austin, TX area in late spring and summer of 2005, it is currently in post-production.

The Story
     Including elements of both horror and humor, Deadbacks is actually a romantic drama... albeit one that involves flesh-eating creatures from beyond the grave. It's being described by cast and crew as "the world's first zombie chick flick" and "Romeo and Juliet meets Night of the Living Dead."
     In Deadbacks, artist Matt Herrera (Adrian Quiñonez) has a shaky career, a lonely ranch, and an unhappy wife, Tina (Nicole Graf). Then he meets a sympathetic neighbor, Victoria (Kodie Nagy Montgomery), a migrant laborer from the ranch next door. Victoria is smart, sympathetic, beautiful, and lonely, and romance blossoms between them.
     But Victoria is also just a little bit dead.
     Tina’s friends are hunters packing high-powered rifles. Victoria’s friends are near-indestructible undead with a taste for human flesh. Matt and Tina discover that "till death do you part" is more than just a figure of speech...
